Abstract
The 2013 Survey on Medical Identity Theftconducted by Ponemon Institute and sponsored by the Medical Identity Fraud Alliance (MIFA), with support from ID Experts,measures the prevalence of medical identity theft in the United States and its impact on consumers. The survey found that consumers are at increased risk of medical identity theft and as a result face serious medical and financial consequences. (Author Text)
